ISSN/ISBN: 0378-9519

Eggs of P5 race of bivoltine silkworm, B. mori were treated with aqueous solutions of six different chemicals namely ascorbic acid (2 mg/ml), biotin (1.5 mg/ml), bovine serum albumin (2 mg/ml), theophylline (1.5 mg/ml), 5-hydroxytryptamine (2 mg/ml) and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (1.5 mg/ml) at various ages viz., 1-, 4- and 7-days. Results revealed that hatching rate was highest (94.82%) with treatment of 1-day-old eggs and gradually decreased with the advancement in age of eggs.
