The efficacy of leaf extracts of Acacia concinna, Capsicum annuum, Lycopersicon esculentum, Mimosa pudica, Pithecellobium dulce, Prosopis juliflora, Solanum indicum, S. nigrum and S. xanthocarpum against Rhizoctonia solani (the causal agent of sheath blight of rice) was evaluated in vitro. Rice plants were sprayed with the leaf extracts (10%) at 45 days after planting. Two days later, plants were inoculated with 15-day-old single grain culture of R. solani.
