Effect of tannery effluent on soil properties and yield of maize (Zea mays)



Journal of Ecobiology 15(3): 161-168



Recycling of tannery effluent along with ameliorative measures such as dilution of effluent and soil incorporation of amendments (farmyard manure, composted coir pith, composted sugarcane trash, press mud and gypsum) was assessed for crop production by conducting field experiments in Tamil Nadu, India, during 1993-94 with maize as test crop in soils of varying texture.
