Effect of weed management and phosphorus levels on weed dynamics and crop-weed competition for nutrients in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L.)

Field experiments were conducted in Rajasthan, India during the rabi seasons of 1998-99 and 1999-2000 to determine the effects of weed management and phosphorus application on the competition of weeds and Indian mustard for nutrients. Treatments comprised of hand weeding 30 days after sowing; spraying of 1 kg fluchloralin/ha, 1.5 kg alachlor/ha and 0.125 kg/ha oxyfluorfen/ha; and 0, 20, 40 and 60 kg P2O5/ha.
