Effects of ambient temperature and relative humidity on physiological parameters and performance of growing pigs



Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering 18(1): 99-102, VIII-IX



This study was conducted to determine the effect of relative humidity and environmental temperature on the physiology and performance of growing pigs. Results revealed that body temperature and heart rate increased when the pigs were exposed to high temperature. Their performance decreased when they were under high humidity and temperature. The effect of environmental temperature and humidity on body temperature was significant.
