Effects of zinc, copper and iron fertilization on tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa Linn) cv. Single

The effects of zinc (ZnSO4.7H2O), copper (CuSO4.5H2O) and iron (FeSO4.7H2O) fertilizers on the growth and yield of tuberose (P. tuberosa Single) were investigated during 1998/99 and 1999/2000, in West Bengal, India. The fertilizers were applied at 0, 5, 10 and 15 kg/ha as basal treatment. All treatments significantly increased the growth and yield parameters of tuberose over the control. Such increases in the different parameters evaluated were found to be rate-dependent.
