Essential oils from Astronium urundeuva (Allemao) Engl. and A. fraxinifolium Schott ex Spreng

The essential oils from leaves and fine branches of A. urundeuva and A. fraxinifolium have been obtained by hydrodistillation and analysed by GC-MS. The oils of the samples of A. urundeuva, collected at Carolina, state of Maranhao, and Araguaina, state of Tocantins, Brazil, were dominated by Delta 3-carene (78.1 and 56.3%, respectively).
