Evaluation of the hydrology components of the WEPP hillslope and WEPP-WTM models for subsurface drained cropland

Evaluation of the hydrology components of the WEPP hillslope and WEPP-WTM models for subsurface drained cropland

Soil erosion research for the 21st century Proceedings of the International Symposium, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, 3-5 January 2001: 657-660

Runoff, drain flow and water table depth predictions from WEPP (the USDA-ARS Water Erosion Prediction Project) have been were evaluated against measured runoff and drain flows from North Central Ohio, and water table depths predicted using DRAINMOD. The model produced various large and overpredictions. It does not predict continuous water table depths, and therefore may not be truly simulating water table depth.
