Abstract
This paper describes how reclamation practices on iron-ore mining sites in Minas Gerais, Brazil have developed over the past 25 years. Brazil's evolution in corporate environmentalism illustrates how strands from all disciplines of knowledge have intertwined to promote progress in corporate policies, technical developments, new regulations, institutional strength and maturation of environmental philosophy.
