Abstract
This article describes the physical and nutritional properties (utilizable crude protein, starch content, digestibility of starch) of dairy cattle feed processed using the expander technology, a method that involves two stages (crushing and hydrothermal pressure treatment using an annular gap expander). The cost of improving the quality of concentrate mixtures or the individual components is also discussed.
