Exploring the influence of leisure on adjustment: development of the leisure and spinal cord injury adjustment model

This study attempted to examine: whether leisure engagement influences the adjustment of individuals with SCI; if leisure engagement does influence adjustment, what influence do variations in leisure activity have on the adjustment of individuals with SCI; and whether social support mediate the influence of leisure on adjustment of individuals with SCI. Data were obtained from a survey of 178 respondents at a community therapeutic recreation centre in southeastern USA.
