Genetic improvement in beef and dairy cattle in Thailand: blup applications through FSR/E approach

The genetic parameters in growth traits in beef cattle and milk yield and fat percentage in dairy cattle were estimated utilizing the farming system research and extension approach to collect pedigree and management information. The results of the long-term study showed higher additive individual and maternal effects using American Brahman breed than those of the Charolais, especially when the animals got older.
