Cercetari Agronomice in Moldova 34(1/2): 47-54



A genetic study carried out using a diallel cross system with eight wheat lines gave useful information on the type of gene action and to what extent the number of grains in ear, weight of grains in ear and 1000-grain weight were influenced by environment. The data of the variance analysis of half diallel tables showed that gene additivity (gi) and dominance (l, li, lij) effects were involved in the inheritance of these characters.
