Genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance for quality traits in Indian mustard

Genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance analysis was performed using 36 F1 hybrids, 36 F2 generations and their parents obtained from a (9x9) diallel mating for four traits viz. oil content, protein content, 1000-seed weight and seed yield per plant. Oil content ranged between 35.26 and 41.13% in F1 and 38.46 and 41.76% in F2 population.
