Abstract
An experiment was conducted during the summer-rainy seasons of 1998 at Ludhiana, Punjab, India to evaluate the growth and yield of summer-planted bunch 'SG 84' groundnut (A. hypogaea) as influenced by irrigation methods. Trickle irrigation was superior to the micro-sprinkler and conventional irrigation methods and recorded higher values of dry matter accumulation (73.23 g/plant), leaf area index (5.69) and harvest index (0.31), resulting in a yield increase of 11.03 and 20.84%, respectively.
