In a study conducted during 1994-99 to analyse the growth and yield of sour cherry trees on their own roots and grafted on rootstocks, results showed that no significant effect of the tree type on the yield of cultivar Schatenmorelle 226 was observed. In 1994, the cropping efficiency coefficient (CEC) of trees on their own roots was significantly higher compared to trees on P. mahaleb.
