Growth comparison of Prunus rootstocks propagated by stooling, cuttings and in vitro - Part I: Transplanting time until budding

Growth comparison of Prunus rootstocks propagated by stooling, cuttings and in vitro - Part I: Transplanting time until budding

Erwerbsobstbau 44(2): 54-61

Experiments were conducted in Germany during 1996-97 with different cherry rootstocks from the time after propagation season to the time of grafting. In 1996, 'Colt' and 'F12/1' rootstocks and stooling propagation technique recorded the highest trunk diameters. In 1997, the highest trunk diameters among clones and among production methods were obtained for 'Gisela' rootstock and for the stooling propagation technique, respectively.
