Identification of Bursaphelenchus spp. on pine wood in Yunnan Province

A survey of Bursaphelenchus spp. on pine wood was conducted in Yunnan Province, China from December 2000-December 2001. The results showed that three species of the genus Bursaphelenchus were identified as B. mucronatus, B. hofmanni and B. hellenicus. Both B. hofmanni and B. hellenicus were newly recorded species from China. They were isolated from new hosts, Armand pine (Pinus armandii) and Yunnan pine (P. yunnanensis), respectively.
