In vitro response of one isolate of Rhizoctonia solani, the pathogen of the rice sheath blight and four isolates of Trichoderma to glyphosate

In vitro response of one isolate of Rhizoctonia solani, the pathogen of the rice sheath blight and four isolates of Trichoderma to glyphosate

Agronomia Colombiana 19(1/2): 43-55

A study was conducted to investigate the effect of glyphosate at different ranges of concentrations on the rice pathogen R. solani (on submerged culture and solid media) and a putative antagonist, Trichoderma sp. (on solid media). Increasing concentrations of the herbicide caused growth reduction, and the inhibitory activity reached a plateau at 2500 mg/litre. R. solani growth did not increase at any herbicide concentration.
