The insecticidal activity of materials derived from the rhizome of turmeric, Curcuma longa purchased from Kyungdong market, Seoul, Korea Republic, against four agricultural and four stored-product insects (N. lugens, Myzus persicae, Plutella xylostella, Spodoptera litura, Sitophilus oryzae, Callosobruchus chinensis, Plodia interpunctella, Lasioderma serricorne) was examined using direct contact application method.
