Interactions between jasmonates and abscisic acid in apple fruit, and stimulative effect of jasmonates on anthocyanin accumulation

Interactions between jasmonates (jasmonic acid, JA; and methyl jasmonate, MeJA) and abscisic acid (ABA) were investigated in apple (Malus pumila var. domestica) Tsugaru. In experiment 1, discs from pulp excised 93 days after full bloom (DAFB, preclimacteric), 112 DAFB (climacteric) and 133 DAFB (postclimacteric) were collected and placed in petri dishes containing 0.4 M mannitol combined with MeJA, ABA and aminoethoxyvinylglycine (AVG).
