Management of small animal clinics in Norway

In a questionnaire survey on small animal practice management in Norway in 1999, the factors investigated included captial investment, salaries, staffing levels, estimated treatment costs, sales of various items, numbers of clients and their payments, location of the practice, and competition. It was found that the average annual income of veterinarians (368 000 kr) was lower than that of doctors and dentists; in general the results were similar to those of comparable studies in the USA.
