Methods to improve reliability of leaf analysis results for iron-deficiency in kiwifruit

The aim of the present research was to study the distribution of mineral nutrients in certain leaf parts and to identify any possible correlation between Fe concentration of leaves and leaf chlorophyll content. Light chlorotic and intense chlorotic kiwifruit leaves due to Fe deficiency of the cultivar Hayward were analysed and compared with the control. Whole leaves and parts of leaves (petioles, veins and rest part of leaves) were analysed to ascertain Fe distribution in leaves.
