Treatment of H. armigera eggs with fenvalerate 0.02% spray under laboratory conditions resulted in significantly higher (68.68%) mortality followed by quinalphos 0.05% (59.84%) and monocrotophos 0.04% (58.61%), both being equivalent statistically, while chlorpyrifos, dichlorvos and endosulfan as well as neem (Azadirachta indica) formulations gave lower ovicidal effect.
