A study was conducted to analyse the performance of groundnut cultivars (ICGS-11, TAG-24, DH-40, SB-XI and JL-220) under different sowing dates (1, 16 and 31 January) in the summer season of 1995-96 in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. Sowing dates significantly affected the dry pod yield. Sowing groundnuts on 16 January produced significantly higher dry pod yield (2694 kg/ha) than sowing on 31 January (2430 kg/ha), although, it was on a par with sowing on 1 January (2537 kg/ha).
