Phosphate solubilization, exopolysaccharide production and indole acetic acid secretion by rhizobacteria isolated from Trigonella foenum-graecum

Nine different bacteria isolated from the rhizosphere of field grown Trigonella were identified as Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Azotobacter, Rhizobium and Azospirillum. They were examined for solubilization of phosphate and production of exopolysaccharide and indole acetic acid. In addition to Pseudomonas isolate (TP2), Rhizobium also showed high tricalcium phosphate solubilizing activity in both solid and liquid medium.
