Buffalo Journal 18(2): 217-224

Thirty healthy female buffalo calves from the dairy farm of Punjab Agricultural University, were subjected to disbudding (dehorning) at different ages. Calves in group 1 through group 4 were disbudded at 4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and more than 12 days after birth without local anaesthesia whereas the calves in group 5 were disbudded at 10 to 12 days of age after birth with local anaesthesia.
