Preliminary study on dynamic changing of CO2 in solar lean-to greenhouse during cucumber (Cucumis sativus) cultivation

A 3-year (1998-2000) greenhouse experiment with 2 cucumber (C. sativus) cultivars (Jinchun No. 3 and Xintaimici) was conducted in Shouguang, Shandong, China, to study the dynamic changes in CO2 concentration (CC) in the greenhouse during cucumber cultivation. There were seasonal and diurnal variations in CC. The CC was higher in November and March and lower in May due to the differences in ventilation quantity and growth stage.
