The Life Cycle Cost (LCC) model and its application to pump systems are described. Effective use of the LCC model is demonstrated in a case study of Thames Water Utilities. A variant of the model, the Least Whole Life Cycle, was adopted for the case study, defined as a function of the scenario prior to privatization.
