The preventive effects of dietary nasunin on a liver injury induced by D-galactosamine (GalN) were investigated in rats. Increases in plasma alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activities, which were induced by GalN, were suppressed by the feeding of nasunin before the intraperitoneal injection of GalN.
