Field experiments were conducted in Slovenia for 7 years (1987/88 to 1989/90 and 1993/94 to 1996/97) to study the effect of sowing rates (350, 500, 650 and 800 seeds per m2) on the relationships among the grain yield, grain quality and yield components of 12 winter wheat cultivars (Marija, Zitarka, Demetra, Julius, GK Pinka, Soissons, Justus, Mihelca, Olga, Profit, Lonja and Zelengora).
