Relationships between juice polarization at harvest time of spring-planted canes and cane yield of the ratoon crops of sugarcane



Report of the Kyushu Branch of the Crop Science Society of Japan (68): 50-53



In trials in 1990-2000 with 3 sugarcane cultivars at 5 Japanese sites, stem and sugar yields were compared in spring-planted and ratoon crops. Average sugar yields were higher in ratoon crops than in spring-planted NCo310, similar in NiF8 and lower in F177. The difference varied with the site.
