Rescaling the region: the integration of Hawkes Bay food and forestry industries into East Asia

This paper explores the changing relationship of a region (Hawkes Bay, New Zealand), its industries and enterprises to Asia Pacific industrial complexes. Data are based on findings collected through a series of interviews with company and trade officials in Japan and Hawkes Bay, and published and unpublished data sources from 1995-2001.
