Resistance to Phytophthora fragariae var. rubi and agronomic characteristics of various raspberry cultivars

Root rot caused by Phytophthora fragariae var. rubi is an important disease worldwide. Eleven cultivars and lines were assessed for root rot resistance under conditions of natural infection during the period 1995 to 2001 at Bruson, Switzerland. Rubaca, Autumn Bliss, Weirula, Sanibelle, W112, W113 and W118 were rated as resistant while Tulameen, Willamette and Meeker showed moderate resistance. Zeva 2 was highly susceptible.
