Response of new rice varieties with a medium cycle to different doses of nitrogen. I. Yield and yield components

The effect of different nitrogen doses on the yield and yield components of rice varieties (IACuba-17, IACuba-24 and J-104) was studied in Granma, Cuba, during 1997-98. Nitrogen was applied at 0, 43, 85, 128, 170 and 215 kg/ha, with 90 kg P2O5/ha and 60 kg K2O/ha. Improved responses were obtained with 128-170 kg N/ha.
