Response of organic sources of nutrients as substitute to inorganic sources in rose

A field experiment was conducted in Uttaranchal, India, in 2000-01 to determine the effect of organic amendments on rose. The treatments were: control (T0); NPK recommended rate (N:P:K at 50:40:30 kg/ha); FYM (farmyard manure) at 4 kg/m2 (T2); T2+Azotobacter chroococcum at 2 g (T3); T2+phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB; Pseudomonas striata at 2 g) (T4); poultry manure (PM) at 2 kg/m2 (T5); T5+2 g A. chroococcum (T6); and T5+2 g PSB (T7). T3 had the most effect on plant growth.
