Response of sorghum to N and P fertilization on Vertic ustochrepts soils of Saurashtra

Sorghum GJ-37 plants were supplied with 0, 40, 80 or 120 kg N/ha and 0, 20, 40 or 60 kg P2O5/ha in a field experiment conducted in Gujarat, India during the kharif season of 1989 to determine the optimum N and P requirement of GJ-37 under the South Saurashtra agroclimatic conditions. The growth, yield and yield attributes of sorghum increased with increasing rates of N.
