Response of wood particles in an electrostatic field - mechanism of electrostatic orientation

Studies on the electrostatic method of orientation for composite board production were conducted. Wood particles with different dimensions (strand, flake, chip, fibres) or shapes (square, circular) were exposed to an electrostatic field. The response of the particles to the electrostatic field were observed and measured depending on their positions relative to the electrode and electrostatic field intensity.
