Selection and breeding of a new double low (low erucic acid and low glucosinolate) rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) variety Huyou 15



Acta Agriculturae Shanghai 17(3): 17-21



Huyou 15, a new low erucic acid and low glucosinolate rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) variety, was successfully bred using the double-crossing method. The seed oil content of Huyou 15 is 42.43%, seed oil erucic acid content is 0.38% and the glucosinolates content in seed meal is 19.01 micro mol/g. The seed yield of Huyou 15 is greater by 23.9% compared with that of Huiyou 50(CK).
