Spore prints of H. erinaceus strains He2, He6 and He13, differing significantly in the percentage of germination (He2, 1.4 x 10-4%; He6, 1.3 x 10-1%; and He13, 9.6%), were subjected to red laser irradiation (632.8 nm) at 45, 230 and 650 mJ/cm2 before germination in Petri dishes incubated at 26 degrees. Germinated basidiospores were transferred individually into test tubes for mycelial growth analysis.
