Studies on efficacy of plant products and selected insecticides against tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) in tomato

A study was conducted in Tamil Nadu, India to investigate the effects of botanical insecticides and monocrotophos at 0.15% in controlling tomato spotted wilt virus in tomato KM-1, transmitted by Thrips tabaci and Frankliniella sp. The botanical insecticides sprayed were: Adathoda sp. leaf extract at 10% coconut leaf at 10% spray, neem oil at 3%, neem seed kernel extract at 15% and sorghum leaf extract at 10%.
