China Cotton 29(4): 9



Experiments on the effect of potassium application in microplots and 22 field plots were conducted in the medium and low yield cotton growing areas in Henan Province, China. Additional application of 5-10 kg K2O/ha led to a significant lint yield increase. On the basis of N and P application the yield increase after additional application of potassium was 11.54-17.08%. At the same time, the cotton growth and fibre quality significantly improved.
