To study the spatial distribution pattern of the longicorn beetle (Paraglenea fortunei Saunders) larvae, B. nivea Heipidou was grown at 1500-2000 plants/667 m2 in 10 plantations in Guizhou, China in 1999. The number of longicorn beetle larvae (LBL) around the root system of B. nivea was investigated in each plantation in November 1999.
