Sulfuryl fluoride as a new fumigant for the disinfestation of flour mills in France

Sulfuryl fluoride as a new fumigant for the disinfestation of flour mills in France

Advances in stored product protection Proceedings of the 8th International Working Conference on Stored Product Protection, York, UK, 22-26 July 2002: 900-903

The efficacy of sulfuryl fluoride against pests infesting flour mills in France was evaluated. Eggs, larvae and pupae were exposed to concentration x time products (CTPs) of 1125, 1503 and 1877 g h-1 m-3 at 25 degrees C for 24 h. The storage pests consisted of the granary weevil (Sitophilus granarius), Indian meal moth (Plodia interpunctella), Mediterranean flour moth (Ephestia kuehniella), and confused flour beetle (Tribolium confusum).
