The effect of different cultivars, orientation and soilless culture systems on production and quality of strawberry

Acta Horticulturae (548): 59-64

The effects of growing media/soilless system (nutrient film technique or ureaformaldehyde foam) and orientation (north or south) on the yield and quality of three strawberry (Fragaria ananassa) cultivars, i.e. Chandler, OG and Silva, were investigated. Data were recorded for number of flowers, fruit weight, leaf area, number of fruits per plant and yield per plant.
