The effect of supplementary feeding during early lactation of cows using the TMR system on the daily milk yield, milk composition and technological quality of milk

Data were obtained on 20 grade (to Holstein) Polish Black-and-White Lowland cows during 90 days after calving. All cows received a Total Mixed Ration (TMR, comprising ad libitum grass and maize silage plus concentrates), but 10 experimental cows were each allowed 3 kg of concentrates daily as a supplement to the TMR as a Part Mixed Ration (PMR).
