This study investigated the effect of a higher feeding level for sows during late lactation, at weaning and after weaning of piglets on body weight, fatness (backfat thickness) and reproductive and rearing results of piglets for three reproductive cycles. Mammary gland health was evaluated on the basis of milk acidity (pH), somatic cell count and histomorphological image of the gland.
