The influence of mating interval and different sex ratio on reproductive performance and some yielding traits of Japanese quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica)

1,455 Japanese quails were used to determine the influence of mating interval and different sex-ratio on its reproductive performance. The birds were grouped as follows: Group 1 (male and females continuously together (CT), control), and after mating all males and females for 1 day (T) other 4 groups were separated (S) for 2, 3, 4, 5 days (1T2S, 1T3S, 1T4S, 1T5S) and 3 different sex-ratio with male:female (M:F) ratio as 1M:1F, 1M:2F and 1M:3F in each interval group.
