The daily and seasonal biological patterns of neurohypophyseal hormone secretion were investigated in two groups of healthy and fully hydrated camels in the cool spring and hot summer of Morocco. A 24-h daily blood sampling was undertaken at regular intervals. The collected plasma samples were assayed for vasopressin (AVP) and oxytocin (OT) using radioimmunoassay (RIA). It was shown that there was greater variability in the daily plasma AVP values during the summer than those in the spring.
