According to surveys carried out in Hungary and other countries with advanced cattle production, mastitis causes the largest economic losses at the herd level in the dairy cattle sector. In the last decades, resistant bacteria have been observed in most dairy cattle farms like Staphylococcus aureus, which is responsible for most of the mastitis cases.
